Dutiable, Controlled and Prohibited Goods
Freely Importable Commodities
Importation which is neither regulated nor prohibited.
Regulated Commodities
Importation which requires prior permit/clearances from appropriate government regulatory agencies, i.e. animals, meats, and by-products (Bureau of Animal Industry); Ethyl Methyl Ketone, acetone (Dangerous Drugs Board), Plants and Plant Materials (Bureau of Plant Industry); used cars, motorcycles, vehicles (Bureau of Import Services - Department of Trade and Industry).
Prohibited Imports
Importation which is not allowed under Section 101 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended and in other existing laws, i.e. Narcotics, Shabu, Heroin, and other dangerous drugs; pornographic material, pirated goods, adulterated or misbranded articles of food, gambling paraphernalia.
Conditionally Free Importations
Importations free of duties and taxes upon compliance with certain conditions
